This section is organized into the major branches of biology: Molecular Biology (DNA, RNA, and proteins), Cell Biology (the basic unit of life), Genetics (heredity and inheritance), Ecology (species interactions and evolution), Anatomy & Physiology (body structure and function), Microbiology (bacteria, viruses, and fungi), Botany (plants), Zoology (animals), Neuroscience (the nervous system and brain), Developmental Biology (how organisms grow from a single cell), and Biotechnology (applying biology to real-world problems).

How to use this section

Each branch has three levels — Student, Advanced, and Expert — so you can start wherever feels right and go deeper whenever you're ready. Many of the branches connect closely with each other and with the Chemistry section, so feel free to explore in whatever order interests you most.
